Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to water it?
YES! Hydro seeding is a way to disperse the seed, but it is still a seed that needs water to grow. Hand water the first three days to avoid puddling and washing. In in extremely hot weather you may need to water 3 times a day. Be prepared to care for your seed!
Is it always green?
The bright green you may be used to is the color of the mulch used to spread the seed. Depending on your needs, the type of seed & slope the seed is sprayed on it may not be green at all. We use several types of mulch to best ensure your grass grows!
When can I mow it?
Mow as soon as you have substantial coverage of short 3" young grass. Avoid watering before mowing to allow the soil surface to dry. Fertilize after mowing and resume watering. Repeat the process as necessary.
How long does it last?
Hydro seeding is an effective way to disperse grass seed. It is still just grass seed, without proper care it will die off as any grass would. Be sure you make the time to properly care for your new turf. We can not gaurantee how long your new grass will last, that will depend on your care and mother nature.
